OUR MOTIVATION - HOW IT STARTED

OUR MOTIVATION - HOW IT STARTED

गरीबी ,अशिक्षा, बीमारी है अभिशाप, मिलकर करें मिटाने का प्रयास Damyanti Devi Prerna Sansthan is working on reaching out a helping hand for the underprivileged patients through regular medical camps in remote areas by a team of expert doctors . The Sansthan provides free consultation of specialist doctors, free medicines ,diagnostic tests at minimum rates (even less than one fourth of market rates!) and radiological tests like CT-scan, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG etc at bare minimum cost. We are also arranging free eye checkup camps, free eyeglasses and even free cataract surgeries for selected poor patients. Other than healthcare, the Damyanti Devi Prerna Sansthan is also working for free admission of poor students(who are not going to schools because of unaffordable fee issues) in selected public schools .A volunteer takes charge of one student and all his academic needs for one year and makes its possible. Sansthan also provides free tuitions for penniless students . Along with these, a campaign has been set in motion against single use plastic by the name- ' पॉलिथीन मुक्त अपना देश प्रदेश' by the NGO. Sansthan involves influencing personalities to encourage and motivate on the issue and also provides (self-created)cloth bags in replacement of single use plastics bags.

Whose inspiration led to the establishment of the Damyanti Devi Prerna Sansthan, was born in 1928 in a small town called Nagina. Encouraged by her parents, she pursued her studies up to the BA level even at that time. She had good command over subjects like English, Hindi, Mathematics, and Science. Four years after her marriage, her husband passed away. Her life was filled with struggles as she worked hard to educate her children up to MSc and B.Ed. Her life remained challenging until her children secured jobs. Throughout her life, she provided free books to poor students and devoted herself to cow service, nurturing cows, and keeping them until their death. She led such an inspiring life. Until her last days on December 10, 1996, she continued her noble deeds and charitable work. The Damyanti Devi Prerna Sansthan was established, inspired by the life of this virtuous soul.
